Six Bounties of a Martyr

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

“The Martyr (shahid) has six Blessings from Allah:

1.)   He is forgiven from the moment his blood is first shed and will be shown his place in Jannah (Paradise),
2.)    He will be spared the trial of the grave,
3.)    He will be secure on the Day of Qiyamah (Resurrection).
4.)    A crown of dignity will be placed on his head, one ruby of which is better than this world and all that is in it,
5.)    He will be married to seventy two (72) maidens of Jannah (hurs) and
6.)    He will be permitted to intercede for seventy of his relatives.”

Qurbaani

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Nabi (Sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam) said: "Verily Allah Ta'ala has prescribed goodness for everything; so when you execute (for Qisaas) do so with dignity, and when you slaughter, do so in a proper, dignified manner. Ensure the blade for slaughter is sharpened and the slaughtering is carried out swiftly."

Sighting the New Moon

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

"Every month is a stage in a man's life. As a month ends and the new moon is signalling the beginning of the next month, it seems to announce that a stage in every man's life has passed and a new one beginning. The most suitable supplication at this time can only be: "O Allah! Cause the new stage, which is the new month, to pass with peace, security, faith and Islam, and make us obedient to You."

Because there are people in the world who worship the moon, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam) made part of the supplication as a declaration that the moon is merely a creation of Allah Ta'ala and just as Allah Ta'ala is our Lord so too is He the Lord of the moon."

Durood Shareef | Jumu`ah

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:

“Confer Salaah (Durood) upon me excessively each Friday; the one who confers the most Salaah will be closest to me.”
(Baihaqi)

“Confer Salaah (Durood) increasingly upon me, during the day of Jumu`ah and during the eve of Jumu`ah. Whosoever does so, I will be his witness or I will intercede for him on the Day of Qiyaamah.”
(Baihaqi)

"The one who confers 1000 Durood upon me in one day, he will not die until he is given the glad-tidings of Jannah."
